This article is about how long it takes for the shells of different pills to dissolve in various substances that are in the body’s digestive system. Gelatin capsules do not dissolve in anything but hydrochloric acid, and take much longer to dissolve than tablets do to dissolve. This lab analyzes the times of dissolution of the different types of pill shells in various solutions that exist in the human body.
